HIGHLY SURPRISED! I was very skeptical at first, usually my first assumption when I see a restaurant attached to a shopping plaza. However, after having breakfast here once, they've gained a new loyal local. I had the Texas Benedict and it was EVERYTHING! The pork was seasoned well, my poached eggs were perfect & runny, but the CORN BREAD stole the show!! I love me a honey slightly sweet cornbread [?] This plate was perfectly balanced between sweet & spice (not spicy but very delicious non the less). My husband had the tamale plate, and he being Hispanic knows good tamales! I thought he would be disappointed because my mother in law happens to make amazing tamales, but NO!! He LOVED IT! I had a bite myself and have to admit it was pretty delicious!! I highly recommend Hen House Cafe and already planning another visit to take my mom when she comes into town! :)
